National day of the Republic of Serbia is traditionally celebrated in the European capital, Brussels, by dressing the symbol of the city "Manneken Pis" in the Šumadija folk costume.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Kingdom of Belgium, in cooperation with representatives of the City of Brussels and the Belgian Order of the Friends of Manneken Pis, has been organizing the celebration of Serbian Statehood Day, every February 15 since 2012, by dressing the statue in Serbian national costume.
 

Traditionally at noon, representatives of Serbian diplomatic missions in Brussels and members of the Serbian diaspora gathered at the Square in front of the famous statue, where in the festive atmosphere, the National day was celebrated  in cordial conversations with guests and visitors. Robert Popović, Chargé d'Affaires of the Serbian Embassy in Belgium, addressed the attendees about the Serbian tradition and the history of Sretenje.
