The concept of Natalia's Ramonda - a symbol of the celebration of Armistice Day in Serbia
The central motif is the stylized ribbon of the Memorial for Loyalty to the Fatherland in 1915, popularly known as the Albanian Memorial, a single-level state military and civilian decoration awarded to all members of the Serbian army who retreated through Albania in the winter of 1915/1916. In recognizable green and black colors, the ribbon rhythmically stretches along the edges of the space, symbolizing the sacrifice, perseverance and path of suffering of the Serbian army.

Within the composition, the flower of Natalia's Ramonda dominates, as powerful visual and historical symbol of resurrection and resistance. This plant, which, even after complete drying, can revive in contact with water, is a metaphor for the renewal of Serbia and the rebelliousness of its warriors. The different sizes of the Ramonda flowers in the installation refer to all layers of society that bore the burden of war, from the greatest victims to the silent heroes. The concept of Natalia's Ramonda - a symbol of the celebration of Armistice Day in Serbia, which inspired the young artist Milica Novaković in her artistic interpretation of this spatial installation, was conceived more than 10 years ago by Mr. Marko Đurić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and Ambassador Aleksandar Ristić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Brazil.
