On December 12th, the beginning of the work of the school of the Serbian language, which is part of the system of supplementary education of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Serbia, was marked in Luxembourg. The school of the Serbian language in Luxembourg is attended by 42 children, and classes are organized in two groups of students, one at the Serbian Cultural Center and the other at the Serbian Orthodox Church. In addition to members of our diaspora, Ambassador Dr. Marina Jovicevic, Consul Vesna Lalic, Teaching Coordinator of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia Biljana Bukinac, Pastor of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Luxembourg Zoran Radivojevic, Director of the Serbian Cultural Center Marko Katanic and other members of SCC attended the ceremony.

The children in both groups prepared a short program (recitations and quotes from the famous Serbian writers), after which they were given special gifts - school supplies and sweets made in the Republic of Serbia.

The President of the Board of the Serbian Cultural Center and the pastor of the Serbian Orthodox Church thanked the Embassy and the Ministry of Education for their commitment and positive decision to open a school of Serbian language in Luxembourg, which is part of the system of supplementary education of the Ministry of education of  the Republic of Serbia. They expressed expectation that number of pupils will continue to increase in the coming years.
