29 April 2021 - Meeting of Ambassador dr Marina Jovićević with Minister-President of Flanders, Mr. Jan Jambon

Ambassador dr Marina Jovićević met with Minister-President of Flanders,Mr. Jan Jambon on April 29. They discussed about the process of vaccination and the fight against Covid-19 in Serbia and the Kingdom of Belgium and Flanders. Ambassador Jovićević informed her interlocutor about the process of mass vaccination in Serbia, the percentage of people who received their jabs, as well as about the measures within the health system that have been undertaken in order to provide timely and efficient treatment of Covid-19 patients. The economic and social consequences of the health crisis were also discussed.
 

Ambassador and Minister President have also touched upon the possibilities for improving economic cooperation and greater presence of companies from Flanders in Serbia, as well as possibilities for cooperation of chambers of commerce of Serbia and Flanders, respectively.
 

Ambassador Jovićević informed her interlocutor about the progress in the rule of law and expressed the expectation that Serbia will continue its integration into the EU and that a compromise solution will be reached within the dialogue.
