On April 27, Ambassador dr Marina Jovićević met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Flanders, Ms. Liesbeth Homans.
 

The current circumstances in the fight against Covid-19 both in Serbia and Belgium were discussed, with a special emphasis on the vaccination process. Ambassador Jovićević informed in detail about the process of mass vaccination in Serbia, with over three million doses of vaccines from four different manufacturers administered so far, and the solidarity that Serbia has shown towards its neighbors. She also informed on the measures within the health system undertaken in order to provide accessible treatment for Covid- 19 patients but also to take care on the economic and social consequences of the health crisis.
 

The process of European integration was also discussed. With that regard, Ms. Jovićević informed her interlocutor about the progress in the area of the rule of law and the expectation that a compromise solution will be reached within the dialogue.

Special attention has been paid to the possibilities for strengthening parliamentary contacts, through parliamentary cooperation, as well as strengthening economic and economic cooperation.
