On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Serbia, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Brussels organized on March 3, 2020, a reception for members of our diaspora in Belgium and Luxembourg. At the beginning of the reception, pianist Selena Trifunovic performed the anthems of Serbia, Belgium and Ode to Joy. Ambassador Marina Jovićević addressed the audience and referred to the importance of the Sretenje for the history of the Serbian people and the formation of the modern Serbian S=state, and urgent all present, given their position in Belgian and Luxembourg society, through their work and business and personal contacts, seek to influence the improvement of the perception of the Republic of Serbia in society here, because it is the best way to change Serbia's image in Belgium. In this regard, she assessed the fact that during 2019 the activities of members of the Serbian Diaspora in Belgium intensified in the field of association and joint action to promote the Republic of Serbia and its economic, tourism, cultural and scientific-educational potentials. After the speech, pianist Selena Trifunovic performed a suitable music program. During the reception, cultural-tourist films about Serbia were broadcast. The reception was a held in a very cordial atmosphere and was a very good opportunity to discuss specific topics and activities aimed at further promotion of the Republic of Serbia in Belgium and Luxembourg.
