11/09/2019 Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Mrs. Ana Brnabic on an official visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, 9-10. September 2019

Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic paid an official visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on September 9 and 10, respectively, upon the invitation of Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel. The visit of PV Ana Brnabic came only three months after the official visit of PM Xavier Bettel to Serbia, which was realized 30-31 May 2019. At the beginning of the visit and a welcome reception with military honors, PM Ana Brnabić and PM Xavier Bettel discussed the further development of excellent bilateral relations and the specific areas of cooperation that they have started to discuss during the Luxembourg Prime Minister's visit to Belgrade. An important topic of discussion were the European integration of the Republic of Serbia and the relationship between the European Union and the Western Balkans. Luxembourg Prime Minister has also hosted an official lunch for PM Ana Brnabic and members of the Serbian delegation. Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic has been received by the Grand Duke Henri, with whom she also discussed further development of bilateral co-operation, Serbia's EU accession and the situation in the region. Two PMs, Mr. Ana Brnabić and Mr. Xavier Bettel had introductory speeches at a seminar held at the Startup Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg on Serbia's investment potential, where digitalization and sharing of ICT experience were one of the topics of focus. On the sidelines of the seminar, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic also met with Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Fernand Etgen, as well as with the members of the Bureau and the Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Co-operation, Asylum and Migration, to discuss reforms being implemented in Serbia, the accession process, the situation in the region of Western Balkans and the challenges facing the EU. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic as the only foreign official attended a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Luxembourg in World War II. The Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, along with the Mayor of Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, has visited the Serbian Cultural Center and met with members of the SCC Board. The Prime Minister also visited Jiway, a company operating in Luxembourg, Serbia and Switzerland, which developed the MozaIK2020 platform in collaboration with Luxembourg and Serbian teams. The two prime ministers watched together a football match between Serbia and Luxembourg in qualifying for Euro2020.
