Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, paid an official visit to the Republic of Serbia on 30 and 31 May 2019 upon invitation of the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vucic and the Prime Minister Ana Brnabić. In the meetings with the President and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, and it was concluded that there was a huge potential for strengthening cooperation in many fields, primarily in digitization and ICT sector that are very strong in both countries. During the visit, Prime Ministers of Luxembourg and Serbia visited ICTHub, whose work was financially supported by Luxembourg through EBRD. The talks confirmed the support of Luxembourg for membership of Serbia to the European Union Regional topics were also discussed. It was concluded that it is necessary to intensify the dynamics of the visits at the high level, since the previous visit of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg to Serbia was 16 years ago, and the visit of the Prime Minister of Serbia to Luxembourg, 10 years ago.
