The Serbian Cultural Center (SKC) organized a special evening in the premises of the SKC, marking the centenary of the end of the First World War, On Friday, November 30th  2018. The event was opened by the President of SKC, Marko Katanic, who, in short lines, went through the sights of the film "Serbia in the Great War", which was shown after the opening speeches. He highlighted the great losses of Serbia in the First World War and the overall contribution on the side of the winners. Ambassador Marina Jovićević spoke about the huge casualties that Serbia submitted in the First World War and provided statistical data on the number of injured and killed men in working and reproductive age, the number of injured citizens, the total losses that were the highest among all the countries that participated in the First World War. She pointed out that the victories of the Serbian army on the Balkan front led to the signing of the cease-fire by the central forces on November 11, 1918. She explained the significance of the flower Natalia's ramond, which also symbolizes Serbia, which after both World Wars, rose from the ashes and rebuilt, with huge losses, which in the Second World War accounted for half of the total population.
At the end of the evening, a cocktail was served, with Serbian food and drinks, prepared by members of the Serbian community in Luxembourg.
