On the occasion of Sretenje - Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, on 22 February 2018 the reception for diaspora members was organized in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Brussels. At the reception, national specialties prepared by the staff of all three diplomatic missions and members of their families were served, as well as national brandy and wines.

The reception for members of the diaspora was enhanced by the singer Mirjana Kostić, performing the anthem of the Republic of Serbia, “Boze pravde”.

Ambassador Marina Jovićević welcomed the present members of diaspora on behalf of all three diplomatic missions of the Republic of Serbia, and, in a warm speech, pointed to the importance of their work and residence in Belgium, which is often essential for strengthening the relations of the two countries. She kindly requested that they put forward proposals and initiatives for the further development of the Diaspora and Embassy relations, as well as proposals for the integration of Diaspora members into Belgium.
