The meeting of the Joint Commission for International Road Transport between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Belgium was held in Brussels, on 23 and 24 February 2017, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, associations of carriers in international road traffic from Serbia, representatives of the Ministry of Traffic and Transport of the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as the minister counselor from the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia Irena Banovčanin.

Noting that in the past there was a significant increase in trade between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Belgium, as well as the presence of over fifty Belgian companies operating in Serbia, it has been estimated that it is necessary to remove all administrative constraints that hinder the smooth running of transport between the two countries and increase the number of existing licenses for Serbian carriers.

After the meeting of the Mixed Commission, the delegation from the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Damir Ledenčan, Head of Department for international transport in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, visited the Embassy and had a meeting with the Ambassador Vesna Arsić.
