The Crisis Center of the Kingdom of Belgium, after a report of the Coordination Body for threat analysis, raised the level of alert to the highest level 4 in all of Belgium. The fourth level involves a serious and imminent danger of a terrorist attack.This decision followed the explosions that occurred this morning at the airport Zaventem and Brussels metro.

Zaventem Airport and all kinds of public transport are closed.

The Embassy recommends avoiding large concentrations of people of the city (concerts, big events, railway stations and airports, public transport and shopping centers) and the respect of official statements of the authorities. Caution in order to improve security for the entire citizenry.
