Serbian writer Uglješa Šajtinac is among the 13 laureats of the prestigious European Prize for Literature which is given for the 2014.
Awards were given by the European commissioner for culture Tibor Navračić, who explained that this award „makes a strong path for the respect of the rich and differentiate diapason of the culture of our continent“.
Achieving the award, a writer could expect some broader possibilities for his works to be translated and published, with the support of EU funds.
