On Monday 6th October 2014, in the organisation of VOKA-Limburg and the company Metes (Metech DOO in Serbia), in the presence of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia (Ambassador Arsić and economic counsellor Cvijić), a conference „Debate of enterpreneurs“, series of presentations of local companies, took place. The Conference was attended by approximately 50 owners of companies, mainly from Belgium. On this occassion activities of the company Metes in Belgium and Serbia were presented to them.

Eduard Rutten, owner of the company Metes, spoke about the business climate in Serbia and the opportunities for foreign investors offered by the Free Zone Smederevo. The main message was that Metes, through activities in Serbia, offers to its partners reshoring possibilities, i. e. Return of internationalised production operations from far-away countries to Europe (Belgium and Serbia). In this way not only that the working places in Belgium are being saved but the new ones get created thanks to business conditions in Serbia.
