Republic of Serbia was hit by the rainfall that caused the biggest floods in the last hundred years.
Over 25 thousand people have been evacuated from their homes, dozen of towns are abandoned, hundreds of thousands of people remained without electricity.
The floods claimed the lives of more than 20 of our citizens, and some cities may remain permanently abandoned as witnesses of this great tragedy. Dead livestock, destruction of crops, damage to property are yet to be calculated. First estimations go around 1 billion euros dammage.
Along the large number of employees of the Ministry of Interior, the Serbian Army and others, the help for the devastated regions have come with numerous volunteers from Serbia and the region.
International assistance is coming from the EU member states, Russia, USA, UAE, Japan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Israel, and others.
The Serbian government has opened dinar and foreign currency accounts at which those who want to help victims of floods can deposit money.
Those wishing to do so, may support flood victims by making payments on the following special accounts of the Government of the Republic of Serbia:
