05/19/2014 Floods in Serbia, humanitarian aid in Belgium and Luxembourg

Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is active in assisting to disaster victims. Here by we appeal to all the people of good will and heart to join in the efforts to help!

By any mean they could - even just sharing the information is helping! In order to help the victims the official PayPal account has been opened: floodrelief@gov.rs

Via this account, donations can be made from around the world! (You can also access this via: http://www.floodrelief.gov.rs/eng/)

For an alternative method of payment from Belgium and Luxembourg, the Embassy is working on arranging account dedicated to this cause. Further information to come.

Donations in goods can be brought to the Embassy of Republic Serbia. The address is: Boulevard du Regent 53, 1000 Brussels. The Embassy will then dispatch the goods to Serbia.

For those who want to deliver directly their donations/goods to Serbia, please contact the Embassy to obtain a cover sheet, to expedite the proceedings with the customs authorities of Republic of Serbia.

List of urgent and most needed supplies provided by Red Cross include following:

- mattresses

- linen / bead sheets

- beds (folding cot beds, tent beds, bunk beds)

- diapers for children and adults

- socks

- underwear

- children's clothing

- flashlights

- batteries for flashlights

- Hygiene products (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary napkins, toothbrushes, toothpaste... )

- Aseptol 5P

- rubber boots

For all individuals or companies who would like to donate medical supplies, please ask for detailed instructions regarding procedures for the approval of importing drugs and medical devices on the website of the Embassy (http://brussels.mfa.gov.rs/ or via e-mail: embassy.brussels@mfa.rs).
