18.07.2022 - Travel of minors across the state border of the Republic of Serbia

In accordance with the provisions of Article 54 paragraph 2 of the Law on Border Control of the Republic of Serbia, the consent of parents is not required for minors who have foreign citizenship to cross the state border of the Republic of Serbia.

Minors, citizens of the Republic of Serbia up to the age of 16, when traveling alone or accompanied by another person who is not their parent or legal representative, must have the certified consent of both parents or legal representative.

If a minor travels to Belgium or Luxembourg accompanied by one parent, the competent authorities of Belgium and Luxembourg, when controlling entry into the territory of the aforementioned countries, can request the consent of the other parent or appropriate proof that the parent with whom the child is traveling independently exercises parental rights.
